That's interesting. I wonder how Josh got one to work on his car. I could see it under his "Moonbeam" and was impressed by how accessable it was/is. I should have asked him about it but was too busy pumping him for other Cord info. What a wise and generous gentleman!

I did not use one after all. The thread size is a standard tapered pipe thread. I can post this size the next time I'm in my shop. It is not what any major oil pan bolt thread is today.Every pan drain plug today is a straight thread and has a seal on the plug to stop any leaks. the Cord drain plug has a tapered thread and seals by an interference fit between the plug the the pan like any other pipe thread fitting.

1748S, a few years back, on the forum , you mentioned that you would be using the Fumoto drain plug onyour car. Did you? What size did you use?

Many thanx ! I kinda thought this was the case. I'd probably prefer it to be rich maroon but palm beach tan it will be. Trying to keep as correct as possible.
