I second the motion on the more modern design rotary electric pumps, especially with the screw-in filter. I have had no problem getting these pumps in 6V at my local parts store, and I have had no problem with their operation. AND they have a lifetime warranty.

My last AutoPulse pump, and I mean my LAST, was the one I installed on my '40 LaSalle around 1982 or so. It chose a great time to fail (pinhole wore through one of the bellows folds)---in the middle of the 10-lane by 10-lane Ford Road and Telegraph Road intersection in Detroit at 4:00 on a Friday afternoon in summer heat. I was not popular among the commuters at that moment. It is amazing how little patience some people have with the old car hobby... <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

Modern electric fuel pumps will work fine - a lot of parts stores can still get 6V versions. I like the type with the inline filter that screws into the inlet so I don't have to splice into the fuel line in other locations for a filter. Pressure should be 4-6 psi.

Autopuolse fuel pumps was created by Dave Henderson
Please look at the message I posted under the General Discussion Area regarding Autopulse fuel pumps. (model 500). To cut to the chase, has anyone substituted O rings for the cork gaskets used under the filter base and the valves? Except for these more intricate ones, the gaskets are simple shapes easily cut from cork. What pressure for 810-812's? And, as an afterthought, what more recent electric pumps are being used?
Thanks,
Dave
