The plugged end of the shaft goes on the timing chain side of the block and DOES NOT have a hole in it. However, there is a plug in the block on the timing chain side that does have a hole for oiling the chain. It is located in the center of block face between and just below the rocker shafts.

Rocker Arm Shaft Plugs was created by e merancy
Does anyone know which position the rocker shaft 1/8"pipe plug with a hole drilled through it goes. I presume this is an oil oriface. Or do I have a modified plug? The service bulletin on rocker shaft installation mentions the plugs but does not say anything about one having a hole drilled through.Thank You any help will be appreciated. Ed.M.
