The Cord uses (3) bearing shells that a babbit faced. These can be re-babbited to an undersize to suit your crankshaft. I am not sure what EGGE furnishes, whether they re-babbit yours or furnish something new. There are a number of shop that still do babbit. It necessary to make sure final fit and finish of these bearings are done by a competent engine shop.
Is there other sources for engine parts other than just Egge machine for these Cord engines. Also does anyone offer the main bearings in .010 and .020 under size?
