Mine is currently orange with on a green transmission, and I am not sure what that says about the guy who rebuilt it many years ago. Kind of a mix of 1950s Ford and 1930s Lincoln engine colors.

Thanks you. By the way; my block was also glossy black when I received it.

I believe it was glossy, when you clean away the grease and dirt it has always been shiny all every car that I have restored.

Do we know if the black paint for the engine block, generator and starter and sub frame are all gloss or satin black?

Was the black paint that was used on the engines, also the same as used on the frames? And was this a semi gloss color.
Thanks

Engine Paint ? was created by mopar4ya
Looking for a supplier that could help me with the correct engine paint on a 36 Cord. My engine looks like it could have been black at one time but also has a lot of areas that are a teal color? What was the correct color used?
Thanks
