I recently bought a repro dealer hanging pennant from a Canadian guy on ebay. Mine is for Duesenberg but he makes them for many other marques. He just showed up on their again over the weekend. Besides Duesenberg, looks like, among many other, he's has one showing an Auburn Speedster.
Just go to Duesenberg on ebay and you'll see that one. Then check his other items. The one I' bought is pretty nice and great quality.

Hi Curt,
The flag that you have is what Jim states, nylon was in vented and used first to make parachutes for WWII. it was invented by Wallace Carothers in 1935, I believe he worked for DuPont and in 1938 Du Pont reported to the world the invention of nylon stockings for women.

Thanks Jim, I guess that is pretty much what I expected. Was nylon even invented in the mid 30's?

Hi Curt,
This looks just like the flag I bought a few years ago at the ACD museum (complete with wood pole). The logo appears to be silk screened on nylon and has a sewn in slot for the pole to slip into and the flag is stapled to the wood pole.
I don't know if yours is the same or not.
CORDially
Jim

A friend of mine recently gave me this Cord flag. He says he has a picture of these flags in a dealer show room. Is this really an old company promotional item or is it from an early ACD meet? The staff is wood and there is a slot head screw holding an angled metal bracket to the staff.
