I'm pretty sure that the CD you bought is a compilation from outside sources --- MoTor magazine, and others. What you must have, if you own a Cord, is the collection of factory Service Bulletins. The volume is 8 1/2 X 11, about 1 1/4" thick. The ACD Museum sells reprints.

Don't know of a source but I made the return springs I needed for my real Cord [L-29]. It can be done with a piece of the correct dia. pipe and piano wire. McMaster Carr will make custom springs if you can't find a source.

While not all of the best information is documented, there is a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge available. All you have to do is ask. You can post inquiries and problems on this site. Quite likely someone has overcome a problem you are have and advise what not to do. I don't know when the Cord student graduates.....I expect it takes decades !

You can get reprints from the ACD Museum Archive Dept. They are also sold on ebay periodically.
