Mike, thank you for your input. I will give it a try. I've had my engine balanced prior to fitting all the machined parts together. I think as long as all finished piston assemblies are weighed and equal in weight that should work. Thanks again Dan

Dan:

Chrysler 383 or 440 rod bolts can be used as replacements for the 810 & 812 Cord. The Chrysler rod bolts are slightly larger in diameter so you will have to ream the bolt holes in your rods so they fit. I purchased my rod bolts from ARP and torqued them to 50 lbs.

CORDially, Mike

Again I need your help in restoring my '37 Cord standard engine Beverly. My question is what is the proper torque pressure (in ft/lbs) to tighten my connecting rod cap bolts? Also I've discovered that some of the bolts need to be replaced so I will get a new complete set, but where? Any help is always appreciated. Dan
