I was saddened to read your post on Doug's passing and hoped that it wasn't true since I had not heard from his family. Doug was an inspiration to any Cord owner and was a gentleman of the first order. Although he will be missed, I am grateful for the time and priviledge to have known him. His passing is a great loss for mankind and the Club, but we are all better for having known Doug. My condolences to his family. Oscar Roberts

I received a mail from Jim Conrad to tell me his dad, Douglas Conrad had passed away last monday. I know many of you have come to know Doug much better than I ever will, although I was lucky to build a good friendship with the Conrad family during the last meeting in Auburn. Doug even invited me to the parade in his Westchester. He set an example to me as to what kind of Cord owner I wanted to be (when my car is finished). Both his cars were used as daily drivers form the day he bought each one of them until the day he was gone...I will surely miss him.
