I could not find a 15 base to graft to my Stromberg 16. It was on a 40 Cadillac. Close but no cigar. Unfortunate it was not a 15, hopefully it will run well with this attempt for accuracy.

There is a 14 that I am going to use the choke mechanism and upper lid. To more closly counterfeit the mechanical choke brackets. Between the two vintage Strombergs it will have a carb setup that is similar and almost perfect replacement.

Wait till you see the beatup stock old air filter. It joined and there was no bending at the clamp. There is a smash in the side where someone wanted to make clearance so they beat it in with a ballpeen hammer to clear the linkage. there is no way to bend it out. I think the factory recommened the ball and been method of repair on the exaust. they did not send a good example doing that, but sometimes a good smack is what it takes to make room?

It has to be an improvement over the Solex that ran well. Hopefully the accelerator pump in that mighty dual will help in the ? mile ;+) balin?

I hope that was a typo. The correct carb for an unsupercharged Cord is EE-[i:x750xfwv]15[/i:x750xfwv].

<!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->I filled the new radiator. Next morning E-gad coolant leaking from bell housing! Do I need to remove block? No, it was just a leaky hose clamp.-- update--- it now runs and rolls and shifts through all gears. Not at any speed over 3 mph but I am working on that. New EE-16 going on. Anyone have ideas for choke bracketing?
