Yes it looks magical. I have seen an ancient lathe used to make gold mining pans at a museum in Ballarat, Victoria. The same lathe was probably used well before 1900 to make the same type of pans.
Cord hubcaps would be more involved especially with punching the holes and spacing them uniformly.

Some things are better to be dismissed rather than questioned.
It's like working on our Cords, if things are not going ok, leave it and come back later when feeling better.

This is a civil and respectful forum. Please that in mind. Name calling will not help your hubcap situation. The tone of your last reply would stop me from sharing info, if I had any.

Doug Pray from ACD Factory made a batch last year. I bought a couple sets, unchromed. They turned out perfect, in my opinion.

I guess I could say I BELIEVE IN CAPITALISM and the fact that honest competition can lead to lower price; quality and choice.
What are YOU some kind of sniveling COMMIE ????
The real reason IS I didn't know anyone is actively producing HUB caps.
I STILL DON'T KNOW because all I've gotten back is (1.) A question and 2.
your snotty little question. Thanx for nuthin guys!!

Why would you want to make caps when someone else is already making them?

Cord 812 Hubcap Engineering drawing was created by ACORDIAN
Can anyone provide me with a precise engineering drawing for an 812 Hubcap ?? I'm trying to negotiate a small production run of accurate re-pop hubcaps. Although I can provide them with an example of the real thing. All three of the fabricators I'm talking to want an accurate drawing before
they will give me hard estimates and minimum production runs. If I can get this off the ground the benefits to other ACD members should be apparent.
Thanks, KV
