Thanks Donald, the time certainly gets away with projects like these however you just have to keep at it. I still don't have a finishing date ............. I gave up on them ages ago but it is getting closer each day.

That is something else, there is one in a museum (Brooklands) near me and I always make a beeline for it.

Thanks Trevor it has been a challenge at times.
A very rare 1150 Brough Superior complete with an even rarer Brough Superior sidecar that I owned for many years and completely restored paved the way for the Cord. The Cord opened up a new world, although at times I miss the Brough which I rode to work occasionally. It now resides in Florida.

Thanks Graham and Gary. I do intend taking some films when it is running but probably not the "first fire-up" as it will be too nerve wracking. The closer you get to the finish you begin to worry about things not being quite right, like cable connections on new wiring looms etc.

I'm so envious of your progress. I hope when you first fire her up to test run the engine and trans you have a video so everyone here can listen to it. Nothing sounds better than the first sounds of a rebuilt engine coming to life.

Major Milestone Reached Today. was created by Terry Cockerell
Today after a lot of setbacks the rebuilt engine and gearbox were carefully guided back into the frame. It was a two man job to ensure it went in without damaging anything or scratching paint on the firewall. I'm around two years behind schedule but what the heck. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel gradually getting bigger and brighter. It looks like a Cord now rather than an abandoned body. Can't wait to close the hood and take it for a spin.
