Glad you got the caps Bill. I did NOT need them but was very close to pulling the trigger on them.My catalog from Stan has them non plated listed for $66.00 each not plated. Nothing like a nice set of chrome caps.

Hi Bill
There are at least 2 different shapes of those.
Send me a pic and I'll see if I have a matching 1 in the pile.

Not exactly, as I didn't make the lifting mechanism. I did make a tool bag the same size as the Auburn equivalent which carries a rudimentary tool kit. It is sitting on the trunk shelf in the picture.

I recall you showing me the way you made the base. Its impressive to say the least. Anyone actually trying to use the original bumper jack learns very quickly it bumper bar bends upwards damaging the body and fender... So I'm told by others. so originals got thrown out and scissors jacks were used under the frames or axles.

Pete, in addition to my previous request for "flat" pictures of the instruction installation sheets, was there a switch supplied with the lights originally?
Also was there a preferred mounting position for the light switch in any literature that you have?

Afternoon Cliff
I agree with you; they look different BUT the front of the car is a photo and the fog lights are drawings. I am assuming that the fog lights were not in hand at the time of printing the accessory booklet and the fog lights shown in the drawing were not chosen but Fog Kings were substituted in their place. That is my explanation.

I generally agree that the fog king that I mentioned and the photo’s that Pete posted are accepted as correct. What I’d like to get an explanation on is that if you go to the Cord approved accessories booklet for 1937,, on page 6 it shows driving lights N29214 that certainly don’t look like Fog King lamps. I couldn’t attach the photo to this thread so I’ll start another one with that page 6.

Well... It seems I have been misled about the lens ring and the fastener for "a few years" by well meaning others. Just to get this FINALLY correct... The retainer ring for the lens has to be the type you have shown Pete with the pinch type fastener...Because the lens is cracked and useless to anyone I made an offer of $50.00. It was declined. So I made another offer of $65.00.... I received a counter offer of $96.50....... So I sent the seller a message explaining the lens was useless and all I was interested in was the pinch ring and the fastener for same... I will NOT be making another offer...

Pete, you obviously have a wonderful collection of rare and interesting material.
Any chance of running an iron over the two instruction sheets to flatten them out so that we can make good copies and reposting them .................................. ...................................................... Please?

Cliff what are you talking about? I see in the last picture clearly the special 6 sided hexagon bolts for the fastener ring and the brackets. Am not sure what you are referring to...

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI agree with you Cliff. I see the same thing but these are very nice. This seller has something else I REALLY want but... I already made up a set. My matching amber lens came from George so you know they are correct glass. These lens do NOT have the yellowish white painted circle but they do have the three raised ridges where the paint is applied.

If I had to guess without seeing them in person, I would say these are reproduction hupcaps. I Base this on how the valve stem opening is cut and how the retaining ring is welded to the cap.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI have been watching these on ebay. I like them but really don't need them. I purchased a set a couple of years ago from an ebay seller in Washington state for $1000.00. Same condition as these. I recall Felix was working on a reproduction a few years ago. Actually saw one of his. These are impressive and from a small restoration shop. Enjoy.
