I now understand that my chrome piece is not original and the overall length ending closer and under the bumper with a slant cut, will solve the silt accumulation.
I plan to make such an extension to be chromed as shown.
Thanks mate!

Aris check out the attached Factory photo which was taken in West 18th Street,
Connersville just outside of the dispatch area, which is on the LHS of the picture. On the RHS of the picture is a building with a saw tooth roof. This was one of the original McFarlan Automobile Company buildings. It is still there with a facard covering the original roof. The building is currently occupied by EW Brockman.
Zooming in on the picture the tail pipe appears to be a chrome plated accessory.

Exhaust pipe, correct at the end? was created by Aris Loumidis
I decided to start a new post further to my previous one on the Bumperettes.
Below are pictures of my exhaust pipe, where as Mike mentioned, the length of the pipe could be the reason for the exhaust silt deposits on the bumper and bumperette.
Should I make it longer and at what point will it still be authentic?
Also is the Chrome extension I have on it genuine?
Thanks, Aris
