Replied by Auburn/Cord Parts on topic 1929 Boatail golf locker door
Dean,
1931-36 Auburn Boat Tail Speedsters only had the golf bag door on the RH side. We can supply the lock, lock hole cover, and key. To my knowledge, no one produces the authentic original hinges. Most reproduction auburn speedster bodies used a link type of cabinet hinge attached to a metal plate to support the weight of the golf door. The reason for RH only was so the door would be opened towards the protected side, angle parked or parrallel parked in the LH drive countries. No change was made for RHD countries.

Did the boatail speedster ever have a golf locker door on both sides?
LH drive cars on the passengers side?
RH drive export cars on the LH (passengers side)?

Where can I get hardware for these doors? Hinges, Locks and covers?

Thanks

Dean
