I have used Kevlar slings lifting huge pieces of machinery. Great stuff. Tough as the soles on Daddy's shoes..

I found a source for the suspension straps, aka "Snubbers". It is Andy's Garage in Delaware, owned and operated by Andy Wise, an AACA award winning restorer, and Oakland Owner/Restorer and Oakland Club Technical Advisor.
He has the straps in the proper width for our Auburn (1-1/4") and also has the rivets. He makes these straps out of Kevlar, so they are extremely durable. I am putting his contact information below. Vic Fregonese

Maybe if you strike out try talking to a fabric sling manufacture company. We used all kinds of special fiber slings to lift many different power plant items. Some of these pieces weight was over 50,000 lbs. Every sling had a weight limit made into it and placed on the label.

I am trying to locate a source for the front and rear suspension "strap" material for a 1928 Auburn 8-90 Sedan Convertible. The ones on the car right now are starting to fray. They are about 1-1/4" wide.
