On 34-36 Auburns, the only gloss black parts under the hood are the horns and the fan blade. That is because that is how they were delivered from the vendor.

Check before you leap. With the new judging rules some of the gloss levels have changed to semi gloss for under hood components.

Under hood black items are supposed to be gloss black on 810 or 812 Cords.Bet its the same on your car.

Sorry for asking so many questions lately. I have a paint question. For my frame and under-body parts I'm going with a Satin Black. For the engine, I've ordered the appropriate Green from Auburn Cord Parts. My question is regarding the other under hood parts like the horn, starter, generator, etc. I noticed these are typically black, but I can't determine the gloss level from pictures. Should those be gloss or semi-gloss?
