Gary has done three sets of wheels for us in the last few years. Great results, easy to work with, no issues at all. Ed Minnie

I am looking for a place that can chrome plate other items, not just wheels…. Can Dayton do such?

Dayton wire wheel did a beautiful job on Curt Schulze's wheels (dad inspected) and also did a set for dad for Craig Birkhold's for his V-12. And, they have done another 4 sets for dad and I over time and another 4 or 5 sets for non-ACD member car friends that I haul the wheels down there for. I also have their wheels on my British sports cars. Their work is exceptional. Ed is correct though in that you would have to work with them if you have intention of winning Best of Show at Pebble Beach - they probably can do it, but that is a whole different level of quality that is way over the top that Ed expects (perhaps takes near flawless parts to start with if you want to win Pebble Beach BOS). Dayton also understands what it takes to make a wheel that you can drive on. Ask for Gary Buckles.

Yes, I have used several companies to make chrome wire wheels. Five sets in the past six years. Dayton has made both chrome and painted wheels for me. Workmanship and quaility are excellent. Work is always on time, and no drama. My only comment is that their chrome is very good.........if I were doing a car for Pebble, I would use my chrome shop. I consider their chrome fine for ALL other applications except Pebble. Gary is a great guy, and knows pre war cars. Good luck. Ed Minnie, The Lehrman Collection.

I used Dayton , talk to Gary Buckles.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Many years ago (50 years now) we had 11 Austin Healey from the 100-4 to the 3000 big cars.To chrome those wheels back then the wheel was taken apart. Chromed the rim and hub but installed chrome spokes. Have not done this in years so do not know if its done the same now or not.

I would like to have the wheels chromed on my 31 Auburn (they are currently painted). Has anyone used Dayton Wire Wheels and were they happy with the result?
