There are four different eight cylinder blocks. There are no serial number break downs. From the factory, you may have a earlier engine in a later car, but a late engine in a early car ; probably not.

Is there any estimate of at what serial number 1935 Auburns started using the 3 and then 5 core plug engines that replaced the side plate engines? Curt's Auburns Midwest site just says early to mid 1935.
