Joe, I have a similar 33. Tub and doors are glass on mine but all the fenders and running boards are still steel. I have had fits with a leaky water jacket on the engine but would be glad to talk to you about my experience, 615-469-0633.

I am doing a total body off and just got to paint yesterday. Here is a youtube video I posted on the project.

Looks like a fun project. Eons ago I helped a friend install a Glenn Prey body on his chassis - it was pretty nicely done and stands an advantage here as it looks like this body and rear fenders have been on another car matched to the chassis and front clip being pretty decent too. I do understand from casual conversation at ACD Festival this year that cracked blocks are more common than you would think and hard at the moment to deal with one due to shortages of spares (so that would b a concern all be it says car runs - so perhaps you stand a chance at determining if an issue or not an issue). My guess though is still a labor of love as it will be eating at your wallet and value caps out at a certain point - ie my best guess is that it is fiberglass all be it advertisement does not say either way (I think they made some steel boattail bodies at Glenn Prey, though my guess they would come at a more steep price).

Is there somebody I could call / talk to about what to look for in purchasing a '32 Speedster that wasn't born a speedster?

Appreciate the help, thanks!
