I would love to get such a tool also! I need one. I got the car without anything to remove the wheels.

Over the 20 years I have had the car, I can honestly say the damage done by the lead hammer has been negligible. The hammer is sacrificial.

Strikes me the factory one would mar the chrome. I use a lead hammer, which was a part of many British sports car tool bags back when their knock-offs had ears. If you can't find one anywhere else harbor freight has them.

the first series hub cap wrenches are flat with a clip with a plate and wing nuts to hold the wrench to the spinner. The photo is of a wrench issued some time in 1932 and runs through 1933 .Yes the threads should be greased as is the wheel seat on the hubs.R

This is the tool. beware of cheap repos. There was one on eBay a few days ago as a BIN. I passed on it. I am looking for one as well.
If you decide to make them, I'll buy one from you.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to get the spinners off of my 8-98 wire wheels. Someone in the past must have put them on without any grease and they are really stuck. It seems to me that at some time in the past I saw a tool, almost wrench like that fit over the spinner to allow for some leverage when removing them. Does anyone have any idea if such a tool is available? Also, any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Pete
