Curt's method is the best. It took me 10 minutes to do two runningboards by heating the underside first with a torch.

Done this many times. Put a rosebud tip on your oxy-acetylene torch . Heat about 1/4 of the backside at a time. Scrape it off with a three inch
putty knife. It will take you about a 1/2 hour.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Be of Good Cheer
Curt

I am restoring a 1931 8.98 Cabriolet and wondered if any of you can provide me with a method for removing old running board rubber. I've read numerous methods on the internet but no one can seem to agree on a good method. I have no doubt I am in for some fun. Thanks in advance. Pete Wright
