The 32 # 8266 has a Schebler carb, black cap , black wires.
The 31 # 9592 has a Schebler carb , brown cap, oak wires.

There is an article in the 1998 #7 issue of the ACD Newsletter that talks about Engineering and Change Notices. It has the following;
Auburn Engineering Notes
February 29, 1932
#4534 Beginning of new carburetor
#4631 Beginning of new black spark plug cables
#5964 Beginning of black distributor head cap
(This information from Mr. C. Eads 2-11-32)
I think your 1931 would have oak with black tracers.

Spark Plug Wires 1932 was created by Curt Schulze
Is it possible the black lacquer spark plug wires on my 8-100A sedan are original or were they all oak with red &black tracer? This is a Connersville car.
