Here's a suggestion. We restored 38 pre-war cars and race cars. a fair number of projects were without springs or needed a whole new curvature or design to fit different weight engines into different rails and frames.
It was usually VERY inexpensive to have a new set of spring leaves fabricated, or leaves added. or simply giving the guy a full scale, rough dwg on cardboard., by the local, rural truck repair shop, down the road. Truckers are always breaking/needing oddball springs and shapes, and are usually pretty frugal.

List of 5160 leaf spring steel from Admiral steel . www.admiralsteel.com/ showing many sizes of leaf spring steel. Check if any sizes match your springs. This would be a start to fix any broken leafs. Just a thought,

Have you called Doug Pray in Broken Arrow Oklahoma? They had complete front springs for my 37 Cord.

I don't know about 1933 springs, but the springs Eaton makes for 34-36 Auburn are too thick and make the car set too high and they look ridiculous. I know of this occurrence happening to two different customers. Not only that, the spring covers don't fit..

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

YIKES, I am fairly crafty but not so sure about making my own springs :) Eaton said they would make a pair for around $600.

Would you consider making your own springs? Using 5160 spring steel.

I have had a few leafs crack on our 1933 8-105 front springs so I am thinking the best bet would be to find some reproduction Leaf Springs. I cheeked locally and they will not make a set so I checked with Eaton and they said they said the originals were 10 leaf but they can only reproduce them in 8 leaf.

Do you know of any other reproduction spring sources?
