I don't know where you are located but Fort Wayne Spring Service in Fort Wayne Indiana (260) 209-0452 re-arched my springs on my 1931 Auburn and I know Cord and Auburn folks that have had new springs done by them. Make sure you do you your springs as a pair.

The above idea is fine. Might also contact Felix at the Pickle Factory in Broken Arrow Oklahoma. That's the name many call the place Glen Pray was building the newer Cords, Auburns and one very nice Duesenberg.
