Thank you all. I will use it as it does fit under the coupe body and all mounting holes line up.
I appreciate your responses.

Brad has it real close but it is the coupe cabriolet and sedan have one length and the brougham and phaeton sedan share the deeper splash apron. Randy

Or phaeton!
The coupe and cabriolet have an extended rear body to accommodate the trunk/seat lid. The sedans and phaeton 'cut ' back under the rear seat. That's why the trunk racks and rear bumpers are different as well

It is either for a Brougham or a Boattail (a shorter style body than a coupe, convertible, or sedan).

'31 Gas tank cover was created by convertiblesforever
Recently I picked up a nice gas tank cover for our '31 Coupe project. When I compared it to the original damaged original I found that the replacement is 6-1/2 inches longer. All else is the same. The new lid fits nicely under the car with the body hiding the extra material. Can anyone offer the reason for the extra length on the new tank cover?
Thank you.
