KEN
ANOTHER TIP FROM MY PAST UNLESS EVERYTHING HAS BEEN REDONE WITH NEW GASKETS STAY AWAY FROM DETERGENT LUBRICANTS. ALOT OF THE SEALING IN OLDER CARS IS JUST THE CRUD, PUT IN DETERGENT OIL, AND VOILA LEAKS ALL OVER.

I suggest regular gear lube. The high tech stuff sounds good, but in my experience, it just works its way out quicker. In case you haven't noticed yet, these things don't seal up like a modern car.

Good luck.

Does anyone out there wish to offer any recommendations or suggestions relative to rear axle and transmission oil for the 1931 Auburn?
