Lance,

You are ok with the Champion W16Y. That's what I have in my 8-100A.

Thanks for getting back to me . The Champion plug site does not list a C4 . It cross references it to a W16 Y Lance

Hello Lance:
My 1932 runs perfectly on Champion C-4s. I think the engines are the same for 1931-32. Oddly enough, the 1931 service manual nor any of the follow up service bulletins state what the proper plug is for these cars.
Regards,
Steve Stevens

Hello to all
Can someone please tell me the proper spark plugs to go with my 1931 8 98A motor? All my spark plugs are a dry sooty black. The articles that I've read tell me that it is either due to too rich of an air/fuel mixture or that the plugs are running too cold . Thanks Lance
