i saw the phaeton at kruse. brown colour outside with coppery/brown coloured leather inside. now this was a near perfect car in my humble opinion. excellent coachwork, great body, a fine restoration. i believe the work was done by levine in indiana. he did many of the s. ray miller cars. i have never yet seen a car done by levine that wasn't near perfect. great car. well worth the money.

Yeah, Curt: The description said that it was on display at the ACD museum.

I wonder how accurate Kruse or Hemmings is on that price. Hemmings infers that two "cabriolets" sold for that money. Where was the other one sold?
Is that the phaeton that used to sit on the main floor of the ACD museum showroom?

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Auburn called them Phaeton Sedans. Kruse auctions aren't known for their accuracy.

Kruse auction in Phoenix was created by ilikescars
There was an Auburn recently sold at auction in Phoenix by Kruse. They advertised it as a cabriolet, but the picture looks like a phaeton. (The auction results were featured in this month's Hemmings.) The car has rear side windows. Was this car labeled wrong?
