Thanks for your prompt replies. Jan this is one of those little documents that someone ferrets out and shares and makes life simple. Should we have place on the website with a list of documents similar to these. Thanks again. Allen

Very relevant, Jan. Auburn (like Cord) had a list of standard colors. While it is true that the factory would paint your Cord 810 or 812 in a color made for another make of car (for an extra fee of 2-3% of the total car cost!), we do not know how many people actually did this. Likely, very few. So if you want to paint your Auburn metallic purple, God bless. If you want it judged, you'll need documentation showing that it was done that way by the factory or the dealer.

Allen: From what I have heard, talking to other members, there were no set colors. The customer chose his own shade. This would explain why you see so many different Auburn pigments out there. I have seen salmon, but that's more of a 50's hue.

Have A nice Summer down there! Regards, Mark

G'day Gentlemen and Ladies. Does anyone have a list of colours (Australian spelling) for 36 Auburns. My old man had a phaeton in a deep red colour. What trim colours went with the red. Thanks and have a great CHRISTmas from Australia. Allen
