Just as a follow-up: I know there is a heat shield mounted on the
manifold that has asbestos on one side. My car had a s/s heat shield
mounted on the firewall, just behind the aft exhaust, but that was not correct. I have seen s/c cars with heat wrap on just the aft exhaust,
but I was wondering if all pipes should receive this treatment.
Hi, does anyone know if all the exhaust pipes on a supercharged engine get heat-wrap? I'm referring to the pipes that come out of the engine manifold, before the stainless steel covers. Thanks, Mark
