As I recall this (my car is not here at present, a quick look would refresh my memory), the original tube stems had an angle, the modern ones come straight out, so it is difficult to fit a hose on the stem, because the wheel spokes get in the way. I bought a set of extensions from a motorcycle supply place (forgot which), they angle out and the air hose fits. Not ideal, tho.

If still a problem, go to Longstone or one of the other English or European companies - Junk tubes from China are a problem right now.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

TUBES!!!! was created by PastorLacey
We’re putting new tires on our 1931 Auburn 8-98A and I’m having trouble finding tubes.
We opted for the 7.00X17 tires (since that was all we could find available) but now we can’t find tubes.
We need tubes with a long, centered valve stem.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Coker, Univeral, Lucas…….none available.
Any ideas?
