Hello Terry, I think I will stick to the New, a few of my mates drink old and they are getting sillier than me.

Ivor, Tooheys New was obviously the problem then, there would have been no problem with Tooheys Old.
Keep up the good work.

Looks like I have to pull the carb because I can't get the plug off to access the high speed adjustment. So, do you have instructions on how to set the float? Thanks much.

That's ironic; it's about 40 degrees here too.

Thanks Terry, My only excuse for the upside down carby info is the 40 degree plus heat here yesterday and a few too many cans of Tooheys new.

Looks to be the same. That's exactly what I needed. Thanks to all. I'll let you know how successful I am at adjusting. It first says to check the timing; my was retarded and that's where this all started. Once the timing was advanced to where needed, it was more apparent the car was running rich. Both will blacken the plugs as were mine.
(Technically, isn't it a draft DOWN carb in Australia?)

Car runs rich. My manual has a cutaway with no instructions on adjustment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
