Hello Pwestphal
If it is possible please send a pdf or jpg file to [email protected]
Thank you so much for your help.
I picked up my 851 Phaeton Sedan Tuesday and now i start to collect as much information as possible in order to do the regular maintenance and keep the car in running condition.
Thank you.
Best regards from Germany

Put modern sealed bearings in the water pump and the throw-out bearing.
I only sell parts cash and carry.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Curt

Thank you. What about the cups, like the water pump?

My parts book has yet to arrive, hopefully today and I will be sending you a parts list.

Thank you.

Leave the 3/4 plug out, when the lube starts coming out, you have enough.

Hello Curt
Thank you for your quick answer. I have already orderered gear oil SAE 90 EP in order to fill up the rear diff. Do I have to fill up to the plug 3/4 or to the small plug 1/4 in the rear cover of the diff? Thank you for your help. Best regards Michael

Having owned and restored 20+ Auburns, I have had success with a good quality 80 / 90 gear lube in the rear diff and trans & Shell Rotilla T 15 / 40
in the engine.

Hello Pwestphal
I am new Auburn owner as well. I am sorry, but i have no informations which oils will replace the ones in the Esso lubricant diagramm.
Is it possible for you to send me a copy of the diagramm by mail so that i can better identify the points of lubrication?
For the rear axle, i think classic gear oil SAE 90 EP is the right.
Thank you for your help.

As a new Auburn owner I’m seeking advice on what lubricants to use. With the car I received this handy Esso lubricant diagram with recommenced lub. Well you can’t find Esso products in the US and 84 years have passed. Do we have a recommenced list for the 23 points of lubrication. Thank you.
