The Auburn Warm-Up meet is fast approaching. Jack, Luci, Gretchen, and Michelle have  been working to put together a great weekend for everyone. This year will be the 20th year  for the Warm-Up meet. Our itinerary is still a work in progress, but here is what we have so  far.

Friday, June 7, 2019  We will meet and depart from the Baymont Inn in Auburn, IN. Our first stop of the day is a  tour of the Fort Wayne TinCaps, a Class A minor league baseball team. The name  TinCaps was chosen in 2008 alluding to John Chapman, better known as “Johnny  Appleseed”. The Tin Cap refers to a fictional depiction of him wearing a cooking pot as a  hat in an 1948 Disney movie. Lunch will be provided at the stadium. Next up is a tour of the  Fort Wayne Firefighters’ Museum. The museum is housed in the 1893 built Fire Station #3  building in downtown Fort Wayne. Almost all of the artifacts on display were once used by  the Fort Wayne Fire Department. Late in the afternoon, we will tour Auburn Gear. Auburn  Gear is a leading designer and manufacturer of custom engineered wheel drives, axle  drive components, and specialty drives and solutions for diverse mobile equipment  applications. The evening will conclude with catered dinner.

Saturday, June 8, 2019  We will meet and depart from the Baymont Inn in Auburn, IN. Our first stop of the day is  Huntington, IN. We will tour The Sweet Life Honey Farm, a local business started when a  nursing student took on a hobby of raising bees after a discussion in a chemistry class.  Since then, she has researched the the properties/use of honey and her hobby turned into  a small business. Lunch will be provided in Huntington. After lunch, we will tour a local Car  Collection/Museum. Once we’ve had time to enjoy the automobile collection, we will  head north...probably making a stop for some ice cream along the way! After returning to  Auburn, catered dinner will be provided.

Sunday, June 9, 2019  Before you return home, join us for catered breakfast in the hotel conference room.
