May 10-12, 2019
In the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s Connersville, Indiana had the honor of sharing its historical significance to the Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg Automobiles through an ACD Mini-meet held in June of each year. Many of the facilities used in the manufacture of these cars would be visited, as well other points of interest throughout the community. We also had the pleasure of having many of the former employees in attendance at the meets, enhancing the historical story through their experiences.
Two years ago a contingent of Australian ACD members, on their way to Auburn, visited Connersville and were hosted by local members, Sam and Cathy Harvey. The Australians enjoyed themselves so much that Connersville hosted a non ACD Club sanctioned meet three days before the Auburn Reunion this year for the Australians and some of the US and Canadian membership. The meet was a great success for all and many wanted it to become an annual event. As a result, the ACD Board of Directors have granted Connersville the opportunity to have a sanctioned meet beginning in 2019, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 10-12. And so----WE’RE BACK, BABY!
If you want to stay locally, reservations can be made at the Woodridge Inn by calling 765-825- 4800. Twenty rooms have been reserved for the meet, so mention you will be coming for the ACD meet. Local contacts include ACD members, Sam and Cathy Harvey, (765) 827-0230
