A little tip for those of you that are assembling exhaust systems: Spread some graphite paste on the joints where the pipes come together. This will allow you to make necessary adjustments during assembly and will prevent the pipes from getting jammed together. When the pipes get heated up, the graphite expands slightly, creating an even better seal. Also, apply some of this paste to your gaskets. This will allow you to reuse the gaskets, if necessary.
This stuff would be especially useful when working with the more complex supercharged pipes. <!-- s:idea: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_idea.gif" alt="" title="Idea" /><!-- s:idea: -->
Graphite paste can be bought at McMaster-Carr.
