I see a lot of blackwall tires, those must be period photos!
Very cool Chris.

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
The Mitter Family's Duesenbergs in India was created by Chris Summers
These photos were supplied by Gautam Sen, editor of the Indian magazine Auto India, through Wasif Ahmed. Mr. Sen has just released a new book, "A Fabulous Destiny," chronicling the history of the Rolls-Royce 17 EX prototype.
The cars pictured were owned by the Mitter family of Calcutta. The Duesenbergs shown are Weymann Saloon J-196 / 2200 and Murphy Convertible Sedan J-202 / 2222. Neither car survives intact, although parts of J-202 / 2222 remain in various locations. Also shown are two S-Class Mercedes and what appear to be two Rolls-Royce...altogether, not a bad stable.
