HAROLD AMES' BRONZE CORD DESKSET was created by Bill Hummel
Knowing they could not deliver the cars on time, in 1935, the Auburn Automobile Company issued 100 Bronze Cords to appease early Cord buyers. In addtion, #101 went to the President of the Auburn Automobile Company, Harold T. Ames.

The ACD Club made an identical set of Bronze Cords to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Cord 810. I was fortunate enough to obtain the copy of Ames' deskset.

Josh Malks did such a good job making our commemorative editions look authentic, that I am now compelled to track down original Shaeffer White Dot fountain pens to put on the desk set.
