Merry christmas and a healthy new year to everybody!

A Question regarding vintage steering wheels:
My 1923 Duesi Model A steering wheel (original equipped with a kind of hard rubber) is multiple cracked. Thatswhy I am considering a steering wheel cover. What kind of cover could be period correct?

All I found is the classic leather cover, as popular in the 60ies and 70ies.

I also remember vintage steering wheels, wrapped around tight with a drawstring.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy, Why not repair the wheel? If you can do body work you can repair a steering wheel. Their are pamphlets in print to tell you how and I'm sure shops in Germany that could do it for you.

Mike,
I thought about that.
Somebody else tried to repair it before, without success. Its not made of plastics, it?s a hard rubber, nothing adheres at it in the long run. Unfortunatly.

Thanks Randy.
Anybody knows where this steering wheel comes from? Looks pretty old and fits perfectly.
