Hello,

there is one Lockheed Electra displayed @Pima Air Museum in Tucson, Arizona. But I have no idea if this plane flies or not.

Thank you for the offer. That would be great if you would.

Perhaps if we cannot find a Cord, Auburn or Duesenberg we might find a Lincoln Zephyr or Chrysler Airflow, a Cadillac Lasalle, a Packard formal sedan, or marques of a similar nature which were influenced by the Art Deco movement.

thanks for your help

Norman,

My wife & I do the newsletter for the Ohio Region Classic Car Club of America. With your permission, I will include this with our next issue.
We have Cord owners in our group.

Need A CORD for a Fund Raising Event was created by napeiffer
On Friday August 17th through Sunday the 19th, the Greater Port Clinton OH Area Arts Council will host a fundraiser event to benefit the arts throughout Ottawa County. The event will be held at the Ottawa County/Port Clinton Airport executive hangar with the theme AN EVENING WITH AMELIA EARHART. This year will be the 75th anniversary of her legendary flight.

The late 30's were the zenith of the art deco period and well personified in the Auburn Cord and Duesenberg automobiles. Our promotional brochure features a photo of Amelia posing with her 1936 Cord Phaeton in front of the Lockheed Electra. Having a car or cars similar to hers would be a great feature for the event and an opportunity to expose many art lovers and auto lovers to those beautiful artfully designed vehicles.

We also have secured period aircraft for the event. And there is a new air museum planned to be opened at our airport in time for the event. The museum will feature a Ford TriMotor and other vintage aircraft. The new museum was built to resemble a 30's 40's period hangar and features a diner of the same time frame.

On Sunday, attendance will be enhanced by a Fly in Drive in Pancake breakfast hosted by the Women in Aviation Regional Chapter. We have not located a Lockheed Electra 10E plane like Amelia's yet.

This will be our 5th annual fundraiser to support the arts along the Northcoast of Lake Erie.

We appreciate any help you can provide. Bill Hummel suggested your forum as a great place to ask for help.
