Stan,
I agree; a little more information can unlock many mysteries but with that said getting everyone on the same 'page' can be difficult at times. Let's see if your e-mail sticks to the wall.

Since it is time for a new year I would like to add some constructive critism to the forum. We need to start these questions with at least the make and model, if not the serial number, of the car that the information is being requested for. We get lots and lots of questions and this small bit of input data makes life so much easier. One recent question concerned the gasoline gauge - for what? Cord is electric, Auburn in later years is hydrostatic. Many inquirys are very narrow in application of what and how it works or how do you fix/service, etc. The forum is great but lets add some common sense and courtesy to it.
Cordially,
Stan
