i agree. like the saying goes....a picture says a 1000 words.
the experienced man, the young boy and the X duesenberg.
you won't see that combination very often!!!
the museum should put a giant shot of this photo on display with the car.....(assuming photographers and participants approval of course). the photo puts in perfect context the man and his car.
i often think the story of the men who owned these cars, preserving them throughout the years and thereby allowing the rest of us to enjoy them is even more interesting than the cars themselves.....
the cars will long be with us.....but its the men who need to be remembered.
or in some cases the women, like margaret dunning and her 1930 packard 740 convertible roadster.

A generous gift from a generous man. As Mike said, Peter is a true gentleman of our hobby.

Ja! Ein sehr gut Geschenk dem Museum.
I have seen and looked closely at this car and it is a beautiful example of a fine and rare (one of a kind is sorta rare).

I don't post pictures on this site. If you google the car I'm sure you will get all the pictures you want. It is the only Boat Roadster.

Model X Duesenberg was created by mikespeed35
Today I witnessed the donation to the ACD Museum of Peter and Rita Heydon's magnificent 1927 Duesenberg Model X Boat Roadster. Peter has always been very generous to the ACD Club, the ACD Museum and other Museum's in Auburn. The car looks right at home in the ACD Museum.
