When I'm next at the car I'll take some engine photos...

Does the 1933 car have 17" wheels and wide tires. I noticed a BIG
difference years ago in J528 and J396. J528 had the 17's and J396
had 19's and was a much nicer driver.J540 also had 17's and should have had the 19's. The 750x17 tires were available from Sears and the 700/750x19 were unobtainable from any source we had in the 1950's
and that would be a reason for the 17" wheels.

Bob, it's J-173 / 2194, which was kept by its second owner for 60 years and is a five-owner car.

I agree 110% WITH Mike. This car has never been messed with and who
ever owns it has a prize and I hope it stays this way for the rest of the century. What is the "J"number and has its ownership been traced?

A great car in all respects, my favorite part is the unshuttered radiator, got to love those early unmolested cars!

Great car! I love 'em like that! It reminds me a lot of Al Frankel's J-190/2211 which is also unrestored and has always been a driver.

Agreed, I'd do nothing with that one other than enjoy it and maintain it as necessary.

Absolutely Awesome !

And, my experience is most well kept original cars do have a better feel (perhaps front ends tend to be better set up ? most people hate chipping paint on 100 point cars from torque on bolts and/or putting them on the alignment rack, so they do not).

Sweet car (and you know I also love a good set of Buell Air Horns as well) - Re: Unrestored Murphy Convertible Sedan.

Congratulations.

Could someone identify these two cars by numbers for me?

Thanks

Our 1933 Rollston Torpedo Victoria at yesterday's Corona del Mar Car Classic.

Next week we will be at the Palos Verdes Concours with both this car and our unrestored 1929 Murphy bodied convertible sedan. :)
