Does anybody happen to know the name of the paint shade on J-168? The main body color? Nice combination!

Actually I was down there anyway visiting family so it worked out great for me.

I was there with my wife, we both thought the exhibit was well presented.

I only heard about it on Saturday, on this forum, and almost drove down on Saturday to meet you, but I was already involved. I was surprised you drove all the way down from Nevada.

darn I would like to have met you. We were proably bumping into each other with our cameras. Did you have a 35mm with big lens by chance?

I saw the exhibit yesterday, quite impressive. I will post photos in the next day or two.

I was told that the exhibit is being extended for another two weeks.

How many more Duesenbergs in the Lyon collection? I see that the LaGrande phaeton is not in this exhibit.

Update: Regarding the LaGrande. My fault. I was thinking of a different owner.

Didn't he buy the whole collection of Duesenberg cars from the Harrah collection? I think there was about 22 of them.
These are beautiful cars but I wonder if the General ever gets any real enjoyment from them other than looking at them. Come to think of it,is he still alive? The picture of him and his son and Randy was taken in 2007.

Hi Steve,

I wish I could go there, too. I admire the design of the Weymann Tapertail Speedster and the Gurney Nutting SJ Speedster as well. If you like take some photos and post them at the forum.

Cheers

If you like to see these one-of-a-kind duesies (I guess) you should take the opportunity, who knows where these cars would be in a year...
