Mike, thanks for the tip, it's appreciated. He's had the car for a few years now, as I recall.
I think that would make his fifth Duesenberg - he already has the Rollston landaulet that was at Auburn this year (J-577), a Derham Sedan (J-232), a Murphy convertible sedan (J-140), and the Murphy DTTCC (J-198). (Sorry, Josh - don't have my records handy, so no chassis numbers.) He originally focused on Classic town cars, then 1950s convertibles, and last I heard was focusing on Big Brass and boattail speedsters. He's a nice guy, very easy to talk to and a real enthusiast.

I know he has quite a few of them now, is this a recent buy for him?
I also noted him getting some instruction and tooling the ex-Geo Albright "Hollywood" car around when I visited the RM auction at Auburn this year. Must have beeen a good year for him.

I'll admit to not knowing that one. Next time I talk to Clive Cussler (who owns the car today) I'll ask him if he knows. I know that he had talked to a couple of its previous owners.

Thanks for sharing. Did anyone ever figure out why the radiator was moved forward?

I think this is J-198 / 2221, following its California restyling in the mid-1930s.
Thanks to Jim Davis for sending me the link.
