Wasn't another "J" sedan seen in a movie starring George Peppard called "The Carpetbaggers".I know a "J" was used in a movie starring Bob Hope about NYC Mayor Walker.

In Small Town Girl, Robert Taylor drives the Duesy like a drunken idiot, hitting other cars as he forces his way through busy city traffic, fly's down gravel county roads at scary speeds, and ends up loosing control and crashing into a creek!

Was Fred Astair in it? That car was J108 and as far as I know,it still exists. I don't remember movie titles but lately have started watching old B&W's on the TCM channel because they usually lack all the filthy language and moral and mental bankruptcy of todays so called entertainment.
I recall one old movie that had reference to a Duesenberg but the car was never seen, only heard.
The line that caught my attention was when the man driving it pulled into a gas station/roadside eatery and and told the attendant to fill it up and then went into the eatery and asked how far it was to someplace, and the waitress said it was about 115 miles and he said,"I,ve got an hour and enough time for ham sandwich and a cup of coffee",which prompted a question from the waitress as to "What are you driving"? and the answer was."a Duesenberg".
