J345 has the one peice external exhaust manifold. So I don't think that car is J345, although other than the exhaust it sure looks like it.

J401 is complicated.
The "J401" that is red is the one that was born J401, but currently has supercharged engine J527 in it. This car was reportedly painted the dark maroon "garnet red" in 2000 , and received the chrome wire wheels at the same time. It was for sale by Gooding in 2006 and wore the maroon paint and had blackwall tires and no trunk. It has a louvered hood on the drivers side, and the screened hood for the exhaust on the other. It was also sold recently by RM and looked the same as in '06. http://www.rmauctions.com/CarDetails.cf ... CarID=r286

I doubt that it is the car in question because the color is different and if it was painted maroon at the same time as the crome wheels were installed, why does the car in question have chrome wheels but not the same paint <!-- s:?: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" title="Question" /><!-- s:?: --> <!-- s:?: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" title="Question" /><!-- s:?: --> <!-- s:?: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" title="Question" /><!-- s:?: -->

The white one in Steves picture was white when it sold at Amelia Island in March 2009, and was white for many years. So I doubt that it is the car in question. It was originally equiped with engine J327, and now has engine J401.

Here is J395 back in 2002. No Pilot Rays back then either.

Well, since no one can agree on which Duesenberg this one actually is, I think the best solution is to sign it over to me and put it in my garage. :D

With brakes, two cylinders are better than one.
