Yes we are. We'll be driving four of them tomorrow in a drive test. You're right, it is quite a sight to see them all lined up.

A great looking car. By the way are the folks that bought the Skolove Rolls Royce collection a few weeks back? Seemed like a very unique collection.

Thanks Chris, the colors transferred pretty true. It is one of those colors that no one ever seems to get just right. Photos under artificial light totally change the color.

Bill managed to pull J-340 out of the warehouse and took a break from driving it to take these pics for us. He says they show off the true paint color pretty well--I agree! :D

So far the color hasn't been captured in any of those photos. That cranberry/maroon descrption sounds about right. The cars are packed in tight, and we've gotten about seventy more cars since the ACD tour.

Pics taken at the Kruse Museum in July:

My crappy photos don't show how deep and stunning the paint is. Kind of a darkish red; I think the fenders are a shade darker than the body. A really, really, really beautiful automobile.

I think this was Duesenberg #20 for the collection, btw.

Is this the one from Kruse during the auction over Labor Day? If so, I saw that one being auctioned. Didn't it go for $1 millon?

I got to see the O'Quinn collection with the ACD Club last spring. It was pretty amazing when the first cars we saw when we opened the door were 5 or 6 Duesenbergs lined up. Quite an impression!

We had a very enjoyable time seeing the cars up close. And I mean UP CLOSE!

No cameras, belt buckles, or purses. I really had to suck it in to squeeze by some of the cars.

Bill, since you seem to like ACD cars, you are very lucky to be working for Mr. O'Quinn.

Congrats Bill! From the pictures I have seen, that is a beautiful car that you bought! I just love it, Murphy CC's are my favorite.

In some pictures I have seen, it is kind of a maroon/cranberry. In others it looks more red. How would you describe the true color?

Yesterday we took delivery on J-340, a 1932 Duesenberg, Murphy bodied convertible coupe. All kinds of documents attesting to the correctness of this car. It's really straight and runs good.
