I know the guy that maintains much of the collection (he gave me a ride in a Duesenberg at Auburn this year). O'Quinn my not have made his money is the cleanest of fashions, but he is certainly doing his part to boey the old car business. He buys cars like no other!

Let's see...gobs of spendable cash...completely car-crazy...owns hundreds of cars...willing to share said cars with public...plans to open a museum... Folks, we may have found the natural successor to Bill Harrah!

And just as an interesting side note: J-487, Mr. O'Quinn's favorite dual-cowl phaeton, was 15 minutes from my house in the mid-1950s. If anyone has a working time machine, please PM me. :D

I just thought it was cool to see both of them run! I understand that he actually drives some of his Duesenberg's regularly. I was told the dual corl phaeton is one of his favorites.
I've been fortunate to be invited to see the collection on four different occasions. I think he is up to 16 or 18 Duesenberg's and lots of Auburns and Cords. On my recent trip the Labrodette (Skiff) bodied Mercedes was parked immediately inside the lobby, with a line of 8 Duesenberg's right beside.

Next year see if Mr. O'Quinn will get the SJ up to, say, 70 mph? :D
